How did Aerion Academy get started?
This all started back when I personally started flight training. I attended multiple flight schools in my area, and although I was able to quickly get through all my ratings, I was bothered by the lack of modern and affordable training material to help me on my aviation journey. All the material made by the schools that I attended were long and boring slideshows with way too many words (and way too many errors). My classmates and I would often have trouble paying attention, the instructors would only be half-heartedly teaching the material, and they would NEVER let us have access to the slides after the lesson to take notes or study them. It just wasn't a good learning environment...
Making a solution to the problem
Additionally, I couldn't afford to pay hundreds of additional dollars PER CERTIFICATE to use other training courses, and even so, all the top courses available felt really old and not much better than watching an online video, so what was the point in getting one of those?
Although I never found a great option for myself other than just spending countless hours studying on my own and trying to look up answers or ask anyone I could for explanations, I always wanted to make something that I wish I had as a student pilot or even as an instructor that I could give to my own students. That's what Aerion Academy is supposed to be. A comprehensive, affordable, modern, easy-to-use, and entertaining way to learn aviation that leads to better understanding than traditional training methods.
